The 116th Infantry Regiment Foundation will host a WWI Centennial Symposium at the Stonewall Jackson Hotel and Conference Center, starting at 7:00 PM, NOVEMBER 10, 2017.
In conjunction with the annual muster of the 116th Infantry Regiment we will sponsor this symposium about events of World War I. Scheduled participants are: Major General Timothy P. Williams, The Adjutant General of Virginia; CW4 Alexander F. Barnes (Ret) , Virginia National Guard Command Historian; Mr. William Walker, WWI lecturer, author, historian and educator; Dr. Edmund D. Potter, WWI historian; and BG Theodore G. Shuey, Jr. (Ret), author, former ADC 29th ID(L), and former Commander 116th Infantry Brigade. Included will be the airing of a new video about the 29th Division.
The event is open to the public as a sponsored historical education event. While admission is free donations are greatly appreciated and benefit the 116th Infantry Regiment Foundation, Inc. and its projects including the Stonewall Brigade Museum and support of the 116th Infantry Regiment “The Stonewall Brigade” (USARS).

It is with a heavy heart and sorrow that we report the passing of MSG (Ret) Frank Dillon, a great friend of the 116th Infantry Regiment and Foundation as well as an officer of the 29th Division Association, and key part of Post 64, as well as Chief of Operations for the Virginia Defense Force, passed away this past Sunday, 2 OCTOBER. RIP Frank … we’ll miss you immensely.
